Gulper.io
More games to play
Gulper.io is a free multiplayer snake game you can play in your browser right now, no download or account needed. It works on desktop, mobile, and Chromebook, so it runs unblocked at school or work wherever browser games are allowed. You control a glowing neon worm in a shared arena, eating orbs to grow longer while other real players try to do the same. Cut off a rival and watch them crash into your side. Everything they gathered becomes yours.
What is Gulper.io?
Gulper.io is an online .io game that crosses the classic Snake formula with Tron-style neon visuals and a live multiplayer arena. You and dozens of other players share one board filled with glowing food orbs. Eat to grow, grow to dominate, and outlast everyone else. The round never resets on its own. Your session ends only when you die, so survival time is the real score. The developer is tonsomar, and the game has been free to play since December 2018.
Controls and movement
All steering is done with the mouse. There are no keyboard movement keys. The table below covers every input in the game.
| Action | Control |
|---|---|
| Steer worm | Move mouse |
| Boost speed | Left-click or spacebar |
| Fullscreen | Fullscreen button in UI |
How the boost works in Gulper.io
Most snake and worm games shrink your body when you boost, trading length for speed. Gulper.io does not do that. You can hold the boost for as long as you like with no size penalty. That changes the tactics: speed is always available, which means the danger comes from steering, not from rationing a resource. Fast worms that cannot corner well die just as easily as slow ones.
Growing and eliminating rivals
The two core actions that shape every session are listed below.
| Action | How it works | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Eat food orbs | Steer your worm over glowing bits on the board | Grow longer and thicker |
| Cut off a rival | Force another worm to collide with your body | All food orbs that worm collected scatter for you to eat |
Tips for staying alive longer
- When you are small, stay near the outer edges where fewer large worms patrol.
- Use the minimap to spot clusters of rivals before you blunder into them.
- Cutting off a large worm is high risk but gives the biggest food haul. Only attempt it with a clear exit path.
- Boost into a crossing position, not directly at another worm. Angle matters.
- The color slider is cosmetic only. Pick whatever helps you spot yourself quickly on a busy board.
